Short bio

Bodil Furu (b. 1976) is a Norwegian artist and filmmaker based in Oslo. In her work she is interested in issues related to mineral extraction and representation of landscapes, the fictional dimensions of documentary and complex narratives. Her films are widely shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions, biennials, and festivals.
Her films have been shown at MoMA in New York, the International Istanbul Biennial, the 4th Ars Baltica Triennial of Photographic Art, The Busan Biennale 2007, South Korea, Johannesburg Art Gallery, South Africa, Oberhausen Short Film Festival, the Lubumbashi Biennale 2013, Lubumbashi, DRC, Beaconsfield Contemporary Art, London,  Moscow documentary film festival, Montreal Short Film Festival, Tromsø International Film Festival, Norway and the  Biennale of Sydeny 2014.
