Group exhibition at Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg
Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition (Un)real which will be presented in the Main Gallery at Kunsten from April 12th – October 19th 2025. The exhibition is a collaboration between Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art Humlebæk and features works from Louisiana’s collection.
(Un)real presents a selection of prominent artists which in each of their unique way make use of art as a prism on reality through different media. The exhibition features works by Tacita Dean, Andreas Gursky, Elliot Hundley, Yayoi Kusama, Ann Lislegaard, Michel Majerus, Calvin Marcus, Marilyn Minter, Gerhard Richter, Bunny Rogers, Ugo Rondinone, Pamela Rosenkranz, Thomas Struth, Wolfgang Tillmans, and Ai Weiwei.
Their individual works illuminate themes such as nature and culture, imagination and reality, remembering and disremembering, and collective constructions of phenomena of reality. Through their works, they challenge and renegotiate the dominant positions and perspectives that affect our society and the World around us.
